Football business guru Alex Fynn talks about the future of Arsenal in the light of the pricing policy at new stadium and the rise of Chelsea ahead of his book signing with Alan ‘Smudger' Smith this Thursday in North Finchley.
So Sir Alex thinks we have a mob mentality? And that Arsenal got away with murder after last year's events at Old Trafford. That the scenes were the worst he had ever witnessed in football....
Hopefully I won't kill the euphoric mood that is in vogue at the moment, but something about yesterday's game was disturbing.
Well I don't know about the rest of you Gooners but I'm glad to have the Premiership season underway after the relative dross that was Euro 2004. One thing that was particularly enjoyable was seeing the influence the fans had on their team.
Friday the 6th. of August was quite a surreal experience, arriving at the ground at 9.30 seemed totally abnormal.
What a season we've had! It's never been anything but an electric, emotional roller coaster following The Arsenal! We're improving both on and off the pitch too – all the time.
So has Ferguson cracked? Has Anal Fergusmoan finally done a Georgie Graham and lost the plot big time after so many momentous years of ruling the domestic roost.
You've got to hand it to Arsene Wenger. If ever he decided to take up another profession then this guy wouldn't be out of place in the American baseball leagues because when it comes to throwing a curve ball nobody does it quite like him.
Having now reached its 141st issue 'The Gooner' can certainly be classified as the longest running Arsenal fanzine.
