A shrewd signing Wenger must make asides from Suarez

Don't get me wrong Suarez is the kind of big money signing that Arsenal fans are crying out for, and what a great addition to any team he would be. But in the goalkeeping department Arsenal have two error-prone Poles in Lukas Fabianski and Wojciech Szczesny, the latter never has really firmly established himself as Arsenals number one.

With Vito Mannone moving North-East with Sunderland, the need for a goalkeeper grows ever more; and it is widely regarded Arsenal haven't had a good keeper since David Seaman.

So whilst Suarez would provide goals needed, Arsenal also need a man who can marshall the back four, a goalkeeper who can firmly establish himself as Arsenals number one.

Step forward Julio Cesar...

Despite QPR going down this season the Champions League winner with Inter Milan had a good season with the hoops, and with Julio already being based in London, an approach from Wenger would make sense to try and sign the experienced 33 year old.

However a host of Italian clubs, including Fiorentina, are said to be interested in the QPR keeper' who played in every game of Brazils successful Confederations Cup Campaign.

Mr Wenger would need to move fast, but we are all too aware of what the Frenchman is like, and like seasons past that he might leave it too late to make a key signing again.
