An evening with Kenny Sansom and Paul Davis

Last updated : 26 March 2004 By Chris Parry

Hosted by actor, writer, broadcaster and Arsenal fanatic, Tom Watt, the evenings are intended to provide Arsenal supporters with an opportunity to not only hear about great moments in the club's history - from the players who made them happen - but also for them to meet their heroes and ask questions.

The series of 'O2's Evening With…' events will take place at the Union Stage, Union Chapel, Upper Street, Islington. The first is entitled, "One Nil Down, Two One Up" and features ex-Arsenal legends, Kenny Sansom and Paul Davis. Celebrating the 1987 Littlewoods Cup victory, Tom and Paul will be looking back their 2-1 victory against Liverpool at Wembley - the first trophy of the George Graham reign.

Liverpool had never lost when Ian Rush scored, so when he put them one up, things looked ominous for Arsenal. However 2 goals from Charlie Nicholas turned the match on its head and George Graham celebrated the first trophy of his Arsenal career, marking the beginning of a new era for the Gunners.

The event is on Thursday 1st April. Doors open at 7:15pm, kick off 7:45pm

STRICTLY INVITE ONLY. TO RESERVE YOUR PLACE AT THIS EXCLUSIVE EVENT TEXT LEGENDS PLUS YOUR NAME TO 83202
