Arsenal, Chelsea & Spurs Tussle Over Dutch Wonderkid Orkun Kokcu Ahead of January Transfer Window

Premier League giants Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all considering making a move for Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kökçü during the upcoming January transfer window.

The Netherlands Under-19 international is the latest gem to announce himself as part of the recent renaissance of Dutch football. He scored 17 goals and claimed 34 assists with Feyenoord's Under-19 side last season.

Kökçü's performances within the youth ranks in Rotterdam has caught the eye of Europe's biggest clubs, and the Daily Mail claim the Premier League's top three London-based clubs are jostling to bring him to England.

Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in signing Kökçü, who it is claimed could leave De Kuip during the January transfer window.

Arsenal's chief scout Sven Mislintat is almost always on the button with players of Kökçü's ability, even though the famed talent finder doesn't have a track record of poaching players from the Dutch Eredivisie.

Chelsea and Tottenham, meanwhile, have also been stepping up their efforts to sign youth players in recent years, and Kökçü certainly appears to fit the bill for both Maurizio Sarri and Mauricio Pochettino.

So far, the 17-year-old has only made one appearance for Feyenoord's first team, but his debut was a game to remember for fans back in Rotterdam as Kökçü scored right on the stroke of half time during their Dutch Cup match against VV Gemert.

Fellow youth player Dylan Vente stole the headlines that night following his hat-trick, but Kökçü certainly left his mark on the first team and has since been called up into their squad in the Eredivisie.
