Arsenal v Aston Villa - Player Ratings

Or the treatment room. A week together last week without a game (for the first XI) clearly didn't do any good so who knows how they will react come Saturday

Manuel Almunia - 7 - Great penalty save - is it harsh to suggest he could gave done better for Villa's second?

Bacary Sagna - 6 - Found Young a handful and picked up another injury.

William Gallas - 5 - The team lacked leadership, but what's new.

Mikael Silvestre - 6 - Didn't do much wrong which counts as praise after this game.

Gael Clichy - 5 - Nice to know he's deadly in the 6-yard box, he should try getting into the other one. Really below par showing.

Theo Walcott - 5 - Silly tackle for the penalty in a performance that peaked after about 5 minutes.

Denilson - 7 - Best player in a red shirt and was badly let down by those about him.

Cesc Fabregas - 5 - Is it just tiredness or something else? Not a performance we expect.

Samir Nasri - 5 - Shockingly poor performance after the high of last week.

Abou Diaby - 5 - Didn't offer the threat he can - or anything really.

Nicklas Bendtner - 5 - Isolated up front but showed shortcomings in the role.

Substitutes:

Emmanuel Adebayor - 7 - A welcome return with little to show for it.

Kolo Toure - 5 - Might feel he warrants his place back in the team.

Carlos Vela - n/a - Didn't notice him.
