Arsenal v Fenerbahce - Player Ratings

Last updated : 06 November 2008 By Luis Anaconda

Lukasz Fabianski - 7 - Very little to do but did it well and was impressive with his distribution.

Kolo Toure - 7 - Looked more comfortable at full back and offered a threat going forward.

Johann Djourou - 7 - Booked for a reckless tackle but looked assured for most of the game.

Mikael Silvestre - 7 - Safe and sound at the back before having his nose caved in - yet another thing the woeful referee missed.

Gael Clichy - 7 - Typical Gael performance but the quality of his crossing lets him down.

Aaron Ramsey - 6 - Bright performance but couldn't get involved enough.

Denilson - 9 - Man of the match by some distance for me - for a man who supposedly can't tackle he constantly broke up the Turkish breaks, used the ball well and was all over the pitch available for a pass. Probably the most complete performance by one of central midfielders all season.

Cesc Fabregas - 6 - At one point in the first half, one of our midfielders played a sloppy pass across our own half which was intercepted. My first thought was that Denilson was having one of his careless periods but the villain was Cesc. We have high expectations of our Spanish maestro and in this game he fell short (though still created good chances - I think I may be a bit harsh).

Robin van Persie - 7 - Is he unlucky, trying too hard or just not up to scratch at the moment - hard to tell but he was our best hope for a goal.

Nicklas Bendtner - 5 - Very poor - can do a lot better but so far is looking a much better option off the bench. Which isn't good news.

Substitutes:

Carlos Vela - 6 - Made an impact but couldn't do enough.

Abou Diaby - 5 - Stranded on the wing.

Alexandre Song - 5 - Not much to do.
