Arsenal v Reading - Player Ratings

Last updated : 20 April 2008 By Luis Anaconda

Jens Lehmann - 7 - Rarely tested but commanding when he needed to be.

Kolo Toure - 7 - Lively going forward and a great ball for Adebayor's goal.

William Gallas - 7 - Must have appreciated a game without real incident.

Alex Song - 7 - One moment of slackness aside, a good showing and was particularly impressive when stepping out from defence.

Gael Clichy - 7 - Customary excellent performance.

Theo Walcott - 8 - A real handful all game. Really starting to show his talent.

Gilberto Silva - 7 - More like the Gilberto of old and a very popular goalscorer.

Cesc Fabregas - 9 - Here, there, everywhere - a superb performance and he looked as if he was enjoying himself.

Alexander Hleb - 7 - Naughty Alex might have an early end to the season if Match of the Day get their way, but a slap round the face was less than some of Reading's "tackling" deserved.

Robin van Persie - 8 - Well, his ankles certainly got a good work out as Reading's players to it in turns to whack him from behind and everything seemed to be in working order. Shame it is a case of too little too late from our most talented forward.

Emmanuel Adebayor - 7 - Can't stay on onside, terrible first touch and can't finish, so said the expert behind me just before an onside Ade's perfect first touch put him on for a lovely finish. For my sins, I brought a Spurs fan to watch the match with me - he couldn't believe the abuse Ade was getting from some of our fans. And they say players are spoilt brats

Emmanuel Eboue - 7 - Decent performance in his right position.

Denilson - 6 - Nice to see him back.

Nicklas Bendtner - 6 - Just not the luckiest of players and his only really impact was to be on the end of a Jens rant.
