Player of the season: Thierry Henry (Pires)
Breakthrough of the season: Stuart Taylor (Edu)
Young Gun: Ashley Cole (Cole)
Most Improved Player During Season: Ashley Cole (Wiltord)
Unsung hero of the season: Oleg Luzhny (Wiltord/Lauren)
Best Goal: Henry vs Spurs at THOF (Bergkamp vs Newcastle)
Best Game: FA Cup win at OT vs Manure (Bayer Leverkusen home)
Most Disappointing Game: Bolton away (Deportivo La Coruna home)
Most Disappointing Player: Kanu (Kanu)
Song of the Season: We won the league in Manchester (We love you Freddie)
Defining moment of the season: Giving two points away at Bolton

This was doubtlessly the year of Thierry Henry. Apart from runaway wins for Best player and for Best goal, his efforts against West Ham, Chelsea (cup game) and Roma were voted for, and he was considered by many to be the most improved player during the season (although Cole picks up that one)!

Ashley Cole is Young Gun for the third straight year, a similar but less desirable triple for Kanu as the most disappointing player of the year. Breakthrough of the season was that of Stuart Taylor who is starting to sway the fans' confidence his way. Oleg is considered the unsung hero of the season slightly ahead of Lauren and Silva.

The Best game was a matter of FA Cup games, the win at manure edging ahead of the replay win vs Chelsea. The loss of the league title at Bolton gave that game the description both as the Most Disappointing of the year (just ahead of Roma at home) and that of the Defining Moment of the season. Finally past glory gave us something to sing about because we won the league at Manchester.
