Birmingham City v Arsenal - Player Ratings

Last updated : 27 February 2008 By Luis Anaconda

Manuel Almunia - 6 - Lucky to regain his place. Could have saved the free kick, but no chance with the penalty.

Bacary Sagna - 7 - Solid as ever.

William Gallas - 7 - Fine performance - excellent breakdown afterwards. Must be fun in the dressing-room.

Phillipe Senderos - 7 - A comical dive, but a steady showing for the most part.

Gael Clichy - 6 - The penalty can be put down to a momentary lapse, but more worrying was the amount of crosses he wasted, particularly given the space he was afforded and the two giant strikers in the box.

Theo Walcott - 7 - Completely overshadowed by other events, Theo's goals were at least something to smile about. The confidence given by his first strike was evident and hopefully he will kick on from here.

Mathieu Flamini - 6 - A silly foul to give away for the Birmingham first and some sloppy moments.

Cesc Fabregas - 7 - Looked distraught after the injury, but bounced back in the second half to run the game.

Alexander Hleb - 6 - Hard to play as effectively as you can when you're being constantly fouled. Still, not like it's the ref's job to clamp down on that.

Eduardo da Silva - Get well soon.

Emmanuel Adebayor - 6 - Could have buried Birmingham but had an off day with his finishing.

Substitutes:

Nicklas Bendtner - 6 - Still has a lot to prove and looks like he will get his chance now.

Gilberto Silva - n/a

Denilson - n/a
