Eight fans arrested during Arsenals north London derby match with Tottenham

Images emerged during the game at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium of toilets being vandalised in the away section.

That followed on from a Capital One Cup fixture between the pair last month that saw Arsenal supporters pulling advertising hoardings off the stands at White Hart Lane.

It has now been confirmed that eight arrests were made - with six of those individuals being charged with varying misdemeanours.

"A total of eight arrests were made at the Arsenal versus Tottenham Hotspur game on Sunday 8 November at the Emirates Stadium," a Metropolitan Police spokesperson told Press Association Sport.

"The arrests were for public order offences, missile throwing, possession of drugs and assault

Six of those arrested have been charged."

Arsenal confirmed they are aware of the situation and told PA Sport they are: "Working closely with Tottenham and the police to try to identify the culprits."

The game finished 1-1 after Harry Kane saw his opening goal for Spurs cancelled out by Kieran Gibbs' equaliser in the second half as Arsenal missed out on the win that would have taken them to the top of the table.
