Everton v Arsenal - Player Ratings

Last updated : 20 March 2007 By Luis Anaconda

Still at least our next match is against this season's whipping boys Liverpool - a good time to rediscover some form.

Jens Lehmann - 6 - Great recovery to deny Johnson, foolishly got involved in a spat with Vaughan. Business as usual then.

Kolo Toure - 6 - Should be consolidating his partnership with Gallas at centre back but was forced to gallop up and down the wing emphasising the lack of options in front of him. Did it quite well though.

Gilberto - 6 - Does a decent job, but Everton didn't exactly threaten.

William Gallas - 6 - A class act, but would benefit from a settled defence around him.

Justin Hoyte - 6 - A steady role in an uncomfortable position.

Freddie Ljungberg - 5 - Plenty of perspiration, very little inspiration.

Abou Diaby - 7 - A potential shining star to lift the gloom of this long and pointless run-in. Nice to see him in his best position and he made the most of it.

Cesc Fabregas - 7 - Not at his best but still prompting and probing. Should have scored though - again.

Tomas Rosicky - 6 - Fitted in so quickly this season but hasn't quite retained his early season spark.

Julio Baptista - 5 - Has the chance to make a real name for himself over the next few weeks - had a chance to score against Everton, missed that as well.

Jeremie Aliadiere - 5 - See above.

Subs

Theo Walcott - 5 - Little to time to make an impact apart from on his dodgy shoulder - Bless.

Alexander Hleb - n/a - Looked scruffy.

Denilson - n/a - Unlikely to win a game in the last few minutes.
