Injury update - Yet another defensive crisis looming

Last updated : 07 December 2006 By Chris Parry
The Boss reckons that William Gallas only has a twenty percent chance of playing, Kolo Toure is suspended, and Johann Djourou pulled up with a hamstring strain against Porto.

That leaves Philippe Senderos as our only recognised centreback, and it's fair to say that he's not totally match fit. I suspect Gilberto will be asked to step into the breach leaving Flamini and Fabregas to form a 'mini centre midfield' - Boy do we need a midfielder with size and presence.

There is also the small matter of Thierry Henry being given time off, which in truth he needs, both to get physically fit and to get his head together.

Tomas Rosicky will be out for another fortnight as well, so while it's a case of 'make do and mend' on Sunday I still feel we have the ability to get some sort of result there.

Time will tell.
