January sales: Cygan out, Reyes in?

Reyes - Wenger target?
The London Evening Standard report that Pascal Cygan will be looking to return to France in January due to the lack of first team appearances. They quote him as saying: "I've always made it clear I'd look elsewhere if I wasn't playing."

Meanwhile The Sun claim that we are still chasing Spanish Winger Jose Reyes who currently plies his trade with Seville. Reyes - who is only 20 - has apparently scored 20 goals in 68 appearances for his club, and is likely to cost around five million quid.

One wonders if funds will be available the Wenger for deals of such magnitude, albeit with youngsters of the calibre of Aliadiere and Fabregas coming up through the ranks, the manager may feel that he doesn't need to look outside the club's own youth team setup for new blood.

January will be interesting, however I promise not to report on every ludicrous story that the press are bound to dream up in the coming weeks!
