Kenny Sansom, barbecue and reasons to celebrate @ The Rocket!

Last updated : 25 September 2008 By Chris Parry

The 5:30pm kick off at home to Hull is one of many hurdles so let's have us all in good voice!

To get you "on your way" as it were, we're opening our doors at midday this Saturday. Expect the usual Footy Focus, the fence pusher derby and Soccer Saturday on the big screen.

As the scores come in from the 3pm kick offs (Man U and Chelsea both play), we'll have yet another ex-player for you all to meet. He earned 86 caps for England, 394 appearances for Arsenal and was a staunch favourite for many Arsenal fans. Not least because he was one of the last remaining players to join the fans for a drink after home games!

Mr Sansom joins us to sign copies of his autobiography To Cap It All in the upstairs bar. If you don't have a copy yet, don't worry as we have a limited number of books to buy on the day so this is a great opportunity to grab yourself a precious Arsenal memento!

As ever, we're looking to improve our bar service and so we're opening a third bar! More details of that on the day.

As we wave goodbye to the "summer", we'll be enjoying what little scraps of sunshine Denn..I mean God offers us in our fantastic beer garden. There'll be a barbecue with hot dogs and burgers at low prices!

The March will happen promptly at 5:10pm - 20 minutes before kick off so we hope to get even more support for that!

After the match, we'll open our doors for those of you who'd rather have a drink and listen to Mr Wenger's post match comments than queue up for the first available trains!

We play Porto next Tuesday so please please bring your scarves! This is arguably our toughest fixture so far this season so colour and noise will be the order of the night.
