Leicester vs Arsenal Preview: Where to Watch, Live Stream, Kick Off Time & Team News

Leicester City will aim to continue their sensational form this Saturday at the King Power Stadium when they take on an underwhelming Arsenal side.

The hosts are currently sitting pretty in third place in the Premier League table and could be as high as second come the end of the weekend, if they win and other results fall in their favour.

The Foxes are flying at the moment, having won ten of their last 12 games in all competitions, thoroughly impressing in their charge for the Champions League spots.

Meanwhile, in London it's a far less rosy picture for Arsenal. Another poor performance against Vitoria de Guimaraes in a 1-1 draw on Wednesday evening means Arsenal have won only one of their last six games and are struggling for form and consistency.

Manager Unai Emery is starting to feel the pressure, and with the vultures circling around his head already, he can not afford any more slip-ups this Saturday.

Here is 90min's preview of the upcoming clash.

Team News

Leicester seem to be living the charmed life this season, with yet again no new injury concerns for Brendan Rodgers' side.

Arsenal's main injury worry is over the fitness of Dani Ceballos, who will almost certainly miss the trip to the Midlands with a hamstring injury.

The Gunners did rest some players in their trip to Portugal, including newly-named club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal's ever-changing starting lineup is a stark contrast to that of their weekend opponents, who name almost an identical team from week to week.

Predicted Lineups

Leicester City Schmeichel; Pereira, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell; Ndidi, Tielemans, Maddison; Perez, Barnes, Vardy.
Arsenal Leno; Chambers, Sokratis, D.Luiz, Tierney; Guendouzi, Torreira, Willock; Pepe, Aubameyang, Lacazette.

Head to Head Record

These two teams have played one another on 141 past occasions, Arsenal winning more often than not with 66 victories compared to Leicester's 31.

Leicester have won two of their last three games against the Gunners, both home victories and most recently a 3-0 win back in April 2019.

Arsenal's last successful trip to the King Power came back in 2015/16, Leicester's title-winning campaign, where they won comfortably in a resounding 5-2 victory.

Recent Form

Leicester's terrific form shows no signs of fading. They've picked up four victories on the bounce, most notably that 9-0 demolition of Southampton. The Foxes' most recent outing was a trip to Selhurst Park and another straightforward victory, beating Crystal Palace 2-0.

The consistency Leicester have displayed this season makes them great candidates to finish in the Champions League places, something they have seldom achieved in their history.

Arsenal are firmly at the other end of the form table, having failed to win in their last four games in all competitions. Their last two Premier League encounters have seen them spurn leads at home which has led to more dropped points and more frustration at the Emirates.

Saturday's visitors haven't won a league game since 6 October, a narrow 1-0 win over Bournemouth.

Here is how both sides got on in their previous five outings:

Leicester City Arsenal
Crystal Palace 0-2 Leicester (3/11) Vitoria de Guimaraes 1-1 Arsenal (6/11)
Burton Albion 1-3 Leicester (29/10) Arsenal 1-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers (2/11)
Southampton 0-9 Leicester (25/10) Liverpool 5-5 Arsenal (5-4 pens) (30/10)
Leicester 2-1 Burnley (19/10) Arsenal 2-2 Crystal Palace (27/10)
Liverpool 2-1 Leicester (5/10) Arsenal 3-2 Vitoria de Guimaraes (24/10)

Prediction

This is exactly the kind of game in which Leicester thrive. The hosts will be able to sit off, soak up pressure and then unleash the full force of their dynamic front line on a fragile Arsenal defence.

This game often produces goals, and it's most likely going to be more of the same in this one. Arsenal's defensive woes have punished them all season and they're coming up against an in-form attacking line who have scored 16 goals in their last four matches.

It's a vital clash, especially for the visitors, as the table becomes more and more stretched as the campaign goes on. Arsenal need a positive result, preferably backed up by a good performance, or else it could be lights out for their aspirations of Champions League football next year.

Prediction: Leicester 3-1 Arsenal
