Manchester United v Arsenal - Player Ratings

Last updated : 10 April 2006 By Mike Bohndiek

After a promising opening spell, we needed to defend well to keep the scores level, and we did this, including a small amount of cheating via Kolo's handball.

We had Man U contained on the most part, but key slips cost us in the end. This was not as bad as most people were making out, and we knew going into this game that we could lose and still have fourth place in our own hands if we can win the game in hand and beat Spurs.

Jens Lehmann (8) Another immense display.

Mathieu Flamini (7) Did well considering he was up against the pace of Ronaldo.

Kolo Toure (7) Handball!!

Philippe Senderos (7) Let players in behind him too easily, but was generally good.

Emanuel Eboue (7) A fine display.

Robert Pires (5) Started well but faded very badly.

Cesc Fabregas (6) Didn't have the influence on the game that he has done in previous weeks.

Gilberto (7) Did well as stand in captain.

Alexandre Hleb (7) Caused problems for them, but lacked a killer pass.

Robin Van Persie (6) Good movement but unable to convert chances,

Emmanuel Adebayour (5) A disappointing display.

Subs:

Abou Diaby (6) Strong in the tackle.

Thierry Henry (2) Hardly touched the ball.

Freddie Ljungberg (6) Filled in well.
