Dell Demps was a lousy general manager for the New Orleans Pelicans, but the team's timing in firing the much-maligned executive is suspect to say the least. The Pels essentially left Demps out to dry while refusing to accept any reasonable offer from the Lakers for Anthony Davis. By firing Demps right after the trade deadline, it proves they only kept him around to take the fall while the rest of the Association collectively wonders what the hell they're doing. New Orleans has parted ways...
