Defining moment of the Season: A certain missed penalty and the aftermath at Old Trafford

Thierry Henry won Player of the Year by a clear margin. Kolo pipped Gael Clichy for Young Gun, edged ahead of Edu for this year's unsung hero, but won Breakthrough of season with ease.

Lauren was voted most improved during season, must be because the early visuals of Lauren this season are of the Inter game and the Spurs game when he seemed hell-bent on giving Postiga a goal.

The Best Game was that demolition job at the San Siro, slightly ahead of the champions performance against 'pool at home. The latter provided the goal of the season with Henry twisting and turning past half a dozen defenders to score his second of the game. Pires away at Liverpool, Edu against Celta Vigo and Reyes first for the club in the FA Cup against Chelsea also received votes.

Kanu avoided a fouth straight most disappointing player as Wiltord's most forgetable season gave him that vote. If both of them leave it might be time to take that category away. The most disappointing game was the Chelsea defeat in the Chapions League just ahead of the game four days previously when we let Manure kick us out of the FA Cup.

There were so many different songs that received votes that it was impossible to call a winner. I would say that this is a good sign. More songs mean more singing means more atmosphere?

Finally the goings-on at Old Trafford early in the season were considered the moments that defined our season. That Dutch diver missed the penalty and our players showed the togetherness and fighting spirit that regardless of the bad publicity was the key to our successfull season.
