Reyes to join the exodus - Why are we a 'selling club'?

This isn't a rumour - This is what he said:

"The manager hasn't said anything to me and I don't know if I am going to play or not. I hope I don't or that everything will be resolved before then. Obviously, if I do, it will make a move to Real a lot more difficult. But if I have to play, I will play."

(He refers to our Champions League qualifier on Tuesday).

"I miss Spain and I have a unique opportunity to return with what Real are offering. Everyone has to understand I can't let this chance slip away. Real Madrid are unique. I don't know what is happening but I am a little unsettled by all the rumours."

Following the loss of Bergkamp, Pires, Campbell and in all probability Cole, the last thing we need is to lose Reyes. Most would argue however that a player who doesn't want to play for the club is worthless in footballing terms anyway.

The squad is now suffering from a huge imbalance between experienced players and youth, which doesn't bode well for the forthcoming season.

It would seem appropriate to mention the old adage "Arsene Knows" at the present time, however a large majority of fans suspect (perhaps rightly) that we simply don't have the budget to add any proven quality to the squad.

Let's hope that Wenger has something up his sleeve.
