Arsenal and Inter are both expressing an interest in Galatasaray youngster Ozan Kabak after his breakout season for the Turkish giants.
Prior to the start of the 2018/19 season, Kabak had made just one appearance for Galatasaray, but the 18-year-old has now become a fixture in the first team setup. Despite his tender years, Kabak has demonstrated that he is more than capable of dealing with the physicality of Turkish football and has even made two Champions League appearances to boot.
According to Turkish media outlet Sabah, both Arsenal and Inter have been monitoring Kabak closely and will be looking to make a move for the starlet.
Previous reports in the Italian media suggested that Inter were prepared to sign Kabak by meeting his €7.5m termination fee, but Sabah have debunked this by claiming that Kabak has no buyout clause written into his contract.
Irrespective of this, Galatasaray have made a move to tie Kabak down to a long term contract, offering him a new five-year deal to persuade him to stay put in Istanbul.
There are no reports that suggest that Arsenal have made an official approach for Kabak, but the Gunners have registered an interest in him and will be keeping a close eye on him ahead of the January transfer window.
Although Arsenal have improved at the back under Unai Emery, frailties still exist and Emery will be keen to bolster the options at his disposal sooner rather than later.
Kabak has proven himself to be adept with his feet as well as strong in a challenge, so he could prove to be a perfect fit at the Emirates Stadium.
