"I do not know why I was sent off, I was really surprised. When Alves was down I said it was naïve to let him gain that time, that is all, and I have been sent off.
"I must say the fourth official was really difficult tonight, for the whole game. He said to me and explained to me why I had been sent off, I wanted just to ask him why he had sent me off.
"I didn't know where to go, I couldn't get into the stand. I have not had any further discussions with the referee.
"I feel it was a good game and overall we had a good start then we lost a bit of urgency and I feel after that Sevilla came back into it. The game was very, very physical and they won the battle. We lost the game and congratulations to Sevilla."
