Wenger: 'Little difference between the teams at this level'

The Boss claims we kept the ball well - To be honest though I thought we gave it away too easily, especially in midfield.

He made these comments after the game:

"We showed our experience and maturity in the second half in keeping the ball well and not making a big mistake.

"It was important to win this first game. If you play your first group game at home, then your next two are away. If you lose at home, then you go away with a necessity to win. That put us in a difficult position last year, but now we go away thinking that, if we get a good result in one of the games, then we'll be in a very good position.

"We are confident everywhere we go, although we have just seen that although everyone makes us super-favourites in the group, there's only a little difference between the teams at this level."

"The trauma of last season's start preyed on the players' minds a bit and this victory was important."
