Of course the assembled press asked the usual questions regarding Henry's future, and this is what was said:

"If you asked me to buy a better player, I would have a big problem. He is the best. When you have the best, why would you want to replace him? We do not know whether Thierry will stay or not.

"All I can say is that I want him to stay. The rest belongs to him, but I remain 100% confident that we will keep him."

He went on to say:

"Scoring the third goal so early in the second half allowed us to control the game, and it was a very positive performance."

"After the great game at Real Madrid we lost at Blackburn. Today after the Champions League game we win and of course in the championship we are in the position where everything is vital, but we score goals, we don't concede goals and that's a good basis to improve.

"Of course the championship is very important to us and we want to get in a good position. We had a good result today and the results of our opponents have gone our way so mathematically it is in our hands. We feel that we have started momentum, and lets take care of the way we play the game and our team spirit and the rest will come."
