Wenger: 'More games from replays are not what we want'

"It was a clear penalty but these things happen and I am still confident we can qualify for the quarter-finals.

"Blackburn defended with great heart - too much some times but it is not necessarily more difficult for us to qualify away from home."

"There's a lot of things that could be done to ease fixture congestion but no one wants to do it," he said. "You could stop all FA Cup replays but that would interfere with the tradition though you have to sacrifice something. More games from replays are not what we want, but of course I am aware it could transgress the traditions of the English game to have ties settled on the day.

"We should have won, of course, but we were too slow to start and missed our opportunities at the end. Their goalkeeper made two or three very good saves."
