Wenger: 'We are in a strong position'

"We missed many players, especially in the offensive area, and you would have signed before the game to get two goals away from home. We compensated with good team work and were perhaps less dangerous going forwards than we can be when everybody is here.

"The fact we went ahead so early in the game meant we did not need to come out too much. Our back four was dominant and our discipline was good.

"At 2-1 we were always under the threat of maybe losing the points, but overall we have showed good team work and good solidarity with a young team and lack of experience."

"We are in a strong position, but it can change quickly. Now we have six points after two games - and we take it in a cautious way. After a dodgy start we are getting a good run together."
