Wenger: 'We are not at our best physically'

He said:

"At the moment, goals aren't coming as fluently as we are used to. When you want an ice-cream and it normally comes quickly, but suddenly it doesn't come any more, then it's a bit more difficult. You become nervous and that is what is happening to us now."

"Maybe that is one of the consequences of the Manchester United game. It was a big shock for the team and the way we lost was difficult to take."

"The disappointing thing is that straight after we took the lead, we gave them two chances. The best one was maybe the one they missed. Palace do it their way but they do it well, with great physical energy and we are not at our best physically right now, so that made the difference.

"But you go through periods like this in a season. It's important to stick together and keep our spirits high.

"I'm not too much concerned about Chelsea. What is important is that we come back and win our next game. We've been frustrated in each of our past three matches but at least we didn't lose."
