Wenger: 'We know we can win at Highbury'

He went on to say:

"We have a good opportunity now and we really want to do it - to go for a 0-0 is a dangerous game. We have a psychological edge, certainly, because when you are 1-0 up and the other team gets it back to 1-1 it is a big blow.

"I expected Chelsea to be cautious, they defended well and you could see it was a European game because they did not want to concede a goal. They tried to suck us in and break and score, and we had a lot of possession but not many opportunities to score.

"When they scored there was a 10-minute spell in which we needed to show character and patience, and to come back from 1-0 down is a good result for
us."

He also confirmed to the waiting pressmen that Jens Lehmann had taken the blame for Chelsea's goal, saying:

"As for their goal, you cannot say Jens was completely blameless as he came for the ball and got caught, and he took the blame."
