Wenger: 'We threw it away'

"The championship is still in our hands. We still have four games at home and by being strong there we will win the championship.
He said:

"I watched Manchester United's game this morning. It was a game that could have gone either way. They have a difficult schedule, they have to play Newcastle, and everybody will drop points until the end."

Wenger refused to blame the early loss of Martin keown, saying:

"We lost a little bit of out balance but I don't like those excuses. We have 20 players who are top class and I didn't think we saw the real Arsenal with or without Martin Keown. We did not have the legs to win the game and were beaten too many times in 50-50s and lost balls we usually don't lose. At the end of the day we deserved to lose the game - we were not unlucky.

"Tiredness is not an excuse, it's an explanation but I'm not even sure it's the right one. We still could have won the game and threw it away with the goals we have given away. We were not completely reassuring defensively. I just think it was an off-day. I was very, very frustrated of course."
