"It was a difficult game, played at a high pace. Manchester United started stronger than us but the positive is that we only lost 1-0.

"Manuel Almunia was excellent. It was a top-class performance from him. His reading of the game was fantastic and his sharpness was superb.

"There is a final at stake and I am confident you will see a different Arsenal team next week. Things like that happen in football. At home I believe we can do it. It is advantage to Manchester United after they played well and started very strongly.

"I felt that we didn't create enough, but it's not going to help talking about what we did or didn't do tonight, I think it's more important that we talk about what we want to do next Tuesday.

"They could have scored a second goal but Almunia kept us in the tie and we want to take advantage of that in the second game."

"United played at a fast pace and closed us down well and we never got into our stride."
