Arsenal World FC - History

Last updated : 21 March 2004 By Tony Winyard
Over the years we’ve had some excellent players in the team, some of who have been Gooners from places as far Canada, Nigeria, Norway, USA, France, South Africa, New Zealand, Eire & Sweden.

The team were league winners in 2000 and also winners of the 2 day summer competition (Worldnet) in 1999 which features 64 teams from all over Britain plus a few European fans teams, such as AEK Athens, Inter & Lens to name a few.

This season we’ve recently made it through to the semi-finals of the fans equivalent of the FA Cup. During the regular league season most our games are against teams in the London area such as Watford, Millwall, West Ham, Spurs, Luton, Fulham etc.

The cup competition can involve trips to anywhere in the UK if we get a bad draw. The Worldnet tournament is during July and takes place in Leeds.
