Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed concerns over fixture congestion and potential player burnout, with the Gunners' squad still depleted by injuries.

Speaking ahead of the trip to Burnley, Arteta confirmed that forward Gabriel Martinelli is definitely out, while defender William Saliba's participation is a "wait and see" after he missed the midweek cup tie with a knock.

The manager warned that clubs could be forced to pull out of cup competitions altogether if the domestic and European schedules continue to overload players.

This cautious approach highlights Arsenal's priority on maintaining their Premier League lead, even as they manage the fitness of key players like Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice.
