| Welcome to Arsenal World! | So there we have it... the 2008/2009 season is over, and the lads are trophy-less once again. Having said that, despite some infuriating performances in crucial games that cost us dearly, there are some positives to be taken from the season's performances. The biggest positive for me - apart from the emergence of some very promising players (Gibbs and Arshavin to name but two) is the fact that Arsene Wenger clearly recognises that the team needs a more even balance of youth and experience if we're to clear the final hurdle next season and convert the promising performances into trophies. The club's finances still seem to be in a mess, with conflicting reports coming from all parties, but let's hope that we can hang on to important players whilst offloading some of the dead wood. Next season starts now.... |
