I find that because I am so tight up during the game, I don't appreciate the play so much and when I watch it again later with perhaps a glass of wine, I find it easier to assess the players performance. No doubt you will all have noticed how much more forward Vieira was yesterday and that wasn’t coincidence; that was due to the confidence he gained from playing alongside Edu who was able to cover for him when he went forward, and Vieira returned the compliment when Edu was further up field.
In my view, Edu had an outstanding game both defensive and offensive and he may well be the player that ensures we win the league at the most important stage of the season; he is like a new signing and what it means, is that it makes the left side of the midfield even stronger hopefully with Ashley Cole coming back this weekend.
Our left side will consist of Campbell, Cole, Edu, and Pires; is this good or is this good ?
