Richard's not the 'Wright Stuff' for Arsenal

Wright... and in a flash, he was gone.
Unless Arsene Wenger has something up his sleeve, then I can't quite figure out why. David Seaman has recently signed a one-year extension to his contract, meaning that effectively Wright would have played second fiddle for the whole of the coming season.

Possibly he's too impatient to wait for his chance, possibly the manager sees this as an "attitude deficiency", but whatever the case, Wright is hardly likely to add to his tally of medals playing for the Toffees. Lack of ambition can be a fatal flaw.

Whatever the facts behind the transfer, we are now left with Seaman and young Stuart Taylor as his understudy. It remains to be seen whether a replacement keeper will be purchased.
