Shaaban to make his debut tonight

Rami Shaaban - A chance to shine at last

Arsene Wenger is keen to give the player his first team debut, and tonight's game (which isn't a "must win" affair) seems like the ideal opportunity to give him a run out.

The Boss says: "Rami is a very good goalkeeper, with a good leap and good hands. We need to take a look at him in a highly competitive match. He has the build, all the assets. And at 27, for a goalkeeper, he is still young."

"We got a few goalkeepers over here, but there were problems with some of them. Rami fitted what we wanted. He was the one who impressed us, he was the right one for us."

David Seaman is sidelined with a groin strain, an injury which will almost certainly keep him out of Saturday's rather more important game against Spurs.

Sol is also out - Stepanovs will deputise as Keown is still a fair way from being fit - and Kanu is also unavailable.
