Zubimendi works indoors ahead of Everton trip

Arsenal fans faced a brief scare this week when midfield lynchpin Martin Zubimendi was absent from first-team training on Tuesday morning.

However, reports suggest the Spaniard's absence was part of a "load management strategy" rather than a fresh injury setback.

Zubimendi, who has started 15 of Arsenal's 16 Premier League games this season, worked indoors as the Gunners prepared for Saturday’s crucial visit to Everton.

With Mikel Arteta's side currently leading the table by two points, maintaining the fitness of key starters like Zubimendi is paramount as they enter a grueling run of festive fixtures.
