Arsenal Crying Out For A Fellaini

Marouane Fellaini has attracted interest from the French manager, as well as Chelsea and ex-manager David Moyes at Manchester United.

Whilst Mikel Arteta has adapted to a deeper role well, the club have missed the presence of a tough tackling, strong midfield player since Alex Song left for Barcelona last summer.

Yann M?Vila, a long-term target for Wenger, appeared to be the man to play this role for the Gunners, until he signed for Russian outfit Rubin Kazan.

Fellaini hasn?t ruled out leaving Goodison Park and he fits the bill for Arsenal- his versatility means he can play deep in midfield or in a forward role supporting the striker.

His past playing experience with Arteta when he was at Everton may set him in good stead to fit in at the Emirates- and possibly form a deadly midfield quarter with him, Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere.

Rumours indicate Arsenal may harbour serious interest in the Belgian international, but a rumoured ?23.5million price tag is said to be putting Wenger off.

The addition of Fellaini, or a player who has strength and defensive midfield capabilities like the 25-year old, would definitely strengthen Arsenal?s bid to end their soon-to-be nine-year trophy drought.
