Post-whistle argy-bargy could cost us dearly

I have to say that although our lads (the chief protagonists being Keown and Lauren) were hyped up, there's no excuse for the way they behaved.

With the benefit of hindsight it might have been better if they'd confined their taunting of Van Nistelrooy to verbal stuff only. At the time however, I was cheerfully screaming at the TV encouraging them to chin him good and proper!

There's no question the the video panel will be convened to study tapes from the game, and unfortunately I feel that they will act upon what they see.

The lads really should have left him alone - I'm just thankful that he walked away without reacting, otherwise we could have had a full scale brawl.
