Wenger to target European star in January after worst conversion rate revealed

The stats expose a wasteful goal conversion rate of just 2.4% this season after just five goals have been netted compared to 13 from Leicester City and London rivals West Ham United

The Gunners desperately need some form up-front or to make changes at the January transfer window

Their average goals/game ratio of 0.83 puts them joint 14th with Watford, Stoke and Spurs with six games played

Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott are struggling to convert chances into goals although to be fair that seems to be true of the attacking midfielders

The Daily Star have stated that Wenger is going after talented Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi with an eye to complete as soon as January with a £22m bid

The 21-year-old Batshuayi has a chance conversion rate of 13.5% from his 6 appearances this season with 3 goals and 2 assists

The Belgian is playing regular football at Marseille after joining them from Standard Liege.
