Wenger: 'We were not positive enough'

His post-match analysis went something like this:

"It is disappointing to get a draw because we created a lot, but on the other hand, Rosenborg did try for 90 minutes and went for every ball and gave an outstanding physical performance. They had an outstanding, committed performance and played the type of game where if you make one mistake you will be punished because they are very direct.

"On our side, I feel that at 1-0 we were not positive enough and wanted to maybe keep the score. We came into the game again at 1-1 and in the last 30 minutes could have won the game. We were punished a little bit because I felt we did not do enough once we had the lead and did not go forward enough like we did when it was 1-1.

"We felt we controlled the game and maybe subconsciously we did not need to push up a gear. I feel we did not go forward enough and were a little bit within ourselves when we were 1-0 up, we were a little bit cautious.

"You want to take the points when you can, and tonight we should have had three. That is where we can learn, I feel, that we were a little bit too comfortable at 1-0 maybe."
