Wenger: 'You don't miss chances on purpose'

He said:

"There was a lot of possession in the game but when you don't take your chances you don't get the result you want. Given the chances we created and the chances they had it was a disappointing result for us.

"You don't miss chances on purpose even though Adebayor is very disappointed."

He also maintained that changes in the starting lineup didn't cause the defeat:

"If you look at our programme you can't play the same 11 every game," added Wenger. "We play every three days and you have to make changes and we did not drop points because of that."

He also spoke about the returning Sol Campbell:

"He coped very well. He dipped a little bit in the second half but it was more down to the injury he got. I don't know if the nose is broken. He a cut over his eye and maybe it was bleeding through his nose."
