Arsenal fought back from an early shock to secure a 2-1 victory against London rivals Chelsea at Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

New Chelsea attacker Morgan Rogers opened the scoring within two minutes, catching the home defence cold with a clinical finish.

However, the defending champions responded with composure. Kai Havertz brought Arsenal level midway through the first half, steering home an equaliser past Emiliano Martinez.

The home side asserted dominance after the interval, with summer signing Christos Tzolis causing persistent problems down the flank with his direct running and sharp deliveries.

The decisive moment arrived when Tzolis delivered a diagonal ball that Havertz dummied intelligently, allowing Martin Odegaard to sweep home the winning goal.

Ezri Konsa also produced an outstanding defensive display on his first Arsenal start, producing a thunderous challenge to deny Rogers a second.

The victory ensures Mikel Arteta side keep early pace at the top of the table.
