Barnes keen on management return

Barnes, speaking exclusively to TEAMtalk, has admitted he is keen on another crack at being a club manager despite his experiences in Glasgow.
The former England star said: "People often ask me whether I want to return to management and the answer is an unequivocal yes. This is often followed by a question about returning to manage Liverpool but it's important to understand that it's very difficult to get into management, and if you pass up a job offer you cannot be sure of when another one will come around."
He added: "The basic criterion is that I would have to believe that I could be successful at the club in question, regardless of size. And this in itself is relative because only so many clubs can push for promotion. Leicester, for example, do not challenge for the Premiership but they do push for a European place and in terms of what they achieve they are maximising their potential. If I took over at a lower division team where maximizing their potential meant finishing tenth then good, I would not have a problem with that."
